Who manages the projects?

For the initial meeting and through the first stages of construction, our owner Chad Melton, manages your project. He takes care of pricing, planning and then starting the project. Once in motion, the team lead for your project will be on site every day to run the project and be your on-site resource.

DO i need an architect?

It depends on what your project requires. If we are moving walls or eliminating walls, then we most likely will need an architect to draft plans to then have engineering review. But don’t worry. We work with some of the best architects in the business and we can help you with an architect should the project require it.

DO i need a designer?

It depends on the type of person you are. On one end of the spectrum, some people can make decisions quickly and easily. They know exactly what they want. While for those on the other end of the spectrum, it is more difficult for them to make decisions or even envision what the possibilities are. If you fall in that latter group and have the budget available, it is worth considering a designer. We would be happy to refer you to some great ones we have worked with over the years. But if you are the type of person that knows what you want, or a designer is just not in the budget, we can more than accommodate you. We will put you in touch with our trusted vendors who will help you make selections for all your finish items at no cost. I will warn you. It is a lot of work. It takes a lot of time and energy even for those who can quickly and easily make decisions. But don’t worry, we’re here to help!

What areas do you serve?

Our main focus is Greater Seattle and the Eastside.

Do you work weekends?

Typically, we do not work weekends. However, there are times when we need to come in on a Saturday or Sunday to do some work to make sure we stay on schedule. In those cases, we will communicate with you to make sure we are not interfering with any of your weekend plans.

Do I have to be home while you're working?

No. In fact, sometimes, we recommend you are away during the construction day. We will discuss when the project will be louder than normal or messier than normal so you can plan to be away during times when it may not be comfortable for you to be home.

what should i do to prepare for the work?

I always tell my clients to try and relax. Even for small projects, it is nerve racking to have someone come in and purposely damage your home. And hope that they can put it all back together the way you want it! We get it! But we promise you will love the final product and more importantly, you will quickly realize you are in good hands as you see the project unfold.

What is the average cost of a bathroom remodel?

There are a lot of variables that affect the remodel cost of any room, none more so than the kitchen and the bathroom. The size of the room and finish item price-point are the biggest contributors to cost. Your typical 5 x 9 bathroom is going to range from $13,000 up to $25,000, while your master bathrooms are going to start around $25,000 and go up from there.

What is the average cost of a Kitchen remodel?

Just like the bathroom, the size of the room and finish item price-point are the driving factors for cost in a kitchen remodel. Small kitchens are going to start around $35,000 and go up from there as they get bigger. One thing to also consider in a kitchen remodel is that the kitchen remodels aren’t always restricted specifically to the kitchen area. Most kitchen remodels expand their kitchen into their living space and dining room.

Do i need to have some remodel ideas before we start?

No! Your first step is deciding that it is time to remodel. We can help you get started on your design path.

How and when do I pay?

Each project is different. Usually we require a percentage up front before we start. If the project is projected to continue for more than one month, we will schedule progress payments before the construction starts. Final payment is due when you are completely happy with your project. All of these details get worked out and listed in our contract agreement prior to start of construction so you know exactly what to expect in terms of payment.
